Isaiah Cain and son David
There were 3 David Cains residing in Yonge Township early in the 1800s:
(1) David Cain, who petitioned with Isaiah Cain in 1789 (relative of Isaiah?) (2) David Cain, son of Isaiah Cain (3) David Robbins Cain, born 1797, grandson of Isaiah Cain & son of John
(1) A David Cain U.E. was allotted 200 acres in the Rear of Yonge at Concession VIII, Lot 14 which was patented 4 May 1804 and issued 24 Feb. 1818. He sold the S1/2 of lot for 100 pounds on 26 Sept. 1808 and the N1/2 (100 acres) on 10 June 1819. David Cain of Rear of Yonge was not mentioned in early assessment 1804 - 1818 so may not have lived on property!! -- (whereabouts & family unknown) Is it possible that David Cain (1) and David Cain (2) are the same person??
(2) A David Cain was residing at Front of Yonge near Isaiah and son John.
